Materials needed:
Room 6 would really like some recycled boxes/packaging for construction (boxes, cardboard rolls, clean containers).
Also, for our upcoming collage unit we would like suitable materials - fabric, fabric samples, wallpaper, cardboard, magazines, newspapers. Closer to the time (term 4) we would like to collect natural materials for our collage projects too.
Please bring anything that you think would be suitable in to us and we will find a use for them.
Phases of the moon with Oreo biscuits. They were yummy too. Who ate a new moon? Who ate a full moon? Who ate a crescent moon? Who ate a gibbous moon?
Letter of the week: u "cup, short stick"
Matariki celebrations -
This Wednesday 17th June.
5:30pm-7:00pm
Bring a plate of food to share.
Bring your whanau.
Matariki - Maori New Year - begins every year as the Matariki constellation of stars becomes visible again after a short disappearance from the night sky. This usually occurs near the end of May or beginning of June. It is also thought to begin, more specifically, at the new moon after the constellation becomes visible again.
We have been looking at the phases of the moon and have a homework activity where we record when we see each phase of the moon.
Nau mai, Haere mai Kate. Welcome to Room 6! Cross country is scheduled for Tuesday 9 June. 11am-1pm. Letter of the week: rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
