Term 3 Week 2

Letter of the week: q   "Amelia's mouth, hanging stick and flick"

Life Education.

We visited the Life Education Mobile Classroom (the Life Ed. Bus).

We were shrunk down by the shrinking machine so that we could go into the blood, just like a train on the tracks. The tracks were the veins and arteries.

Conductor Jack hands out our tickets. The cost? A smile.

We met Harold the giraffe.

In the blood. We are all red.

We return to see Harold next week to continue our journey through the body.

Term 3 Week 1

Welcome back to school!

100 days of school celebrations - while Room 6 haven't been at school for 100 days, there is no way that we are going to miss out on the celebrations!

Making 100 on the new turf - we are in one of the zeroes.

We dressed up like 100-year-olds. Glamorous grannies, beards, glasses, walking sticks.

A plea from Room 6

Help in the following areas would be greatly appreciated by Room 6:

  • construction materials - clean packaging - paper towel rolls, boxes, egg cartons, tape etc;
    • collage materials for Term 3's art unit - coloured paper, magazines, tissue paper, fabric pieces (small), wool, string, tin foil, natural materials (maybe we will collect these closer to the time so that they don't clog up the classroom), anything else that could be glued on;
    • a parent helper to put away reading books - maybe after drop off in the morning or at 2:45 before you collect your child, once a week;
    • a parent helper to hear children read

    Please let me know if you are able to assist in the role of parent help. There is a form that we need to sort out.

    Thanks so much
